Garlic Noodles

Hi Everyone!
Today I will be sharing a Garlic Noodle recipe for you. I'm a huge fan of garlic and if you are too, this will be a great recipe to try out. 

Garlic Noodles
This is what the noodles can look like depending on your own preference to additional ingredients. I encourage everyone to make it their own by adding other things that you like. I didn't have any chicken with me at the time but feel free to put some chicken or other meats in there.

Ingredients:
6-9 Dried Shiitake Mushrooms
1 Bulb of Garlic (you can use less if that's too much)
3 Eggs
1/2lb of long noodles (linguine/spaghetti/pancit noodle/etc)
3-4 Tbs Butter

Directions:

1) Soak the dried Shiitake mushrooms in water for a few hrs or until soft.

2) Squeeze out the water from the mushrooms into the bowl. DO NOT TOSS WATER. Put aside mushroom water.

3) Cut the stems off the mushrooms at the base.

4) Slice the mushrooms.

5) Cook and scramble the eggs then put them aside.

6) Mince the garlic.

7) Boil the pasta/noodles. Once ready, drain the water from the pasta and put the mushroom water you had set aside earlier into the pot with the noodles. Let the noodles simmer in the mushroom water for about 10-15 minutes.

8) Melt about 2 Tbs of butter onto a pan on low/medium fire so the butter doesn't burn. Place the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms in and saute until garlic begins to turn golden brown.


9) Pour the the pasta and remaining mushroom water into the pan.

10) Mix the pasta with the garlic and mushrooms. Let it simmer for about 10 mins or until the liquid is almost gone and add the scrambled eggs. Now add a little less than 1 tsp of salt and 2 Tbs of butter. Continuously mix the pasta so that the butter can melt evenly into the pasta. Once that is done, plate your pasta and enjoy!
